Terms of service
OneCase stores sealed suitcases on your behalf. Each case carries $1,000 of cover as standard, upgradeable to $3,000. Monthly plans cancel any time; an annual plan that has not started is refunded in full, and one that has is refunded pro rata on the unused months.
This page says what we will actually do. If a clause reads ambiguously to you, message us — we would rather rewrite it than argue about it later.
What the service is
We take custody of one or more sealed suitcases or agreed items until you ask for them back. We charge per case regardless of how many things are inside or what they weigh, provided the case stays within the limit for its size class.
Fees and renewal
Monthly plans renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the paid period. Annual plans are prepaid, and we notify you a month before expiry. Every fee is published on the pricing page and will not rise during a term you have already paid for.
Refunds
An annual plan that has not started is refunded in full. Once started, it is refunded pro rata on unused whole months, less any delivery fees already incurred. Monthly plans are not refunded for the current period but can be stopped from renewing immediately.
Limit of liability
Our liability per case is capped at the cover selected for it — $1,000 as standard, $3,000 if upgraded. We are not liable for consequential loss. Claims must be made in writing within seven days of return, with the intake and release photographs.
Prohibited items
- Lithium batteries and any powered item with its battery still fitted
- Compressed gas, fuel, spirits, aerosols
- Flammable liquids, corrosive or toxic chemicals
- Food, perishables, plants, living animals
- Cash, jewellery, bearer instruments, original identity documents
- Anything unlawful or unlawful to possess
We ask at intake but do not open your case. Storing a prohibited item is at your own risk and may void cover.
Unclaimed goods
After a plan expires we will attempt contact by email, WhatsApp and phone at least three times over ninety days. If you remain unreachable after that, we may dispose of the goods as permitted by Hong Kong law, applying proceeds first against amounts owed and holding any balance for you for one year.
Pre-opening purchases
If you buy a plan before the hub opens, the plan term runs from the hub’s opening date, not from the date you paid. You may request a full refund at any point before opening. The opening date is stated in your confirmation email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
